Our Dwarf line is well established, social, outgoing, and very healthy. This is our only adoptable line right now.
Hawthorn, our Heart line cinnamon Berkshire, is a dwarf carrier. She was paired with Nibbles, our mink dwarf male. Hawthorn is being sent to her retirement home after weaning, so this will be her only available litter.
Dwarf rats are highly energetic. They will often use a wheel throughout their lives. Tumors are non-existent in dwarfs because of their lack of growth hormone. They do tend to jump off of things without thought for the consequences, though, so they need a closer supervision when being carried.
Warning: Dwarf is a semi-lethal gene. Pairing two dwarf rats will cause a severe reduction in viable offspring.
